Wow! What a fantastic xmas getaway! From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and helpful. They provided us with a detailed guidebook that had everything we needed to know. the location was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the countryside and a serene fishing lake. We loved the fact that we could go fishing and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. the hot tub was a major highlight, easy to use and ready for us as soon as we arrived. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

While our overall experience was fantastic, there were a couple of minor issues. it would have been great if there was a cafe at the fishing lake for convenience.

The premises were impeccably clean and stocked with everything we needed. They even thoughtfully left marshmallows for us to toast by the fire and provided games and books for our entertainment. The attention to detail was truly commendable. We will definitely be returning and exploring their other locations. The nearby dairy farm offered fantastic organic meat and food necessities, while BlueBell vineyard delighted us with their wine and cheese tasting tours. We also enjoyed visiting Trading Boundaries, a fabulous Indian home furnishings store with a charming café. And of course, the beautiful country walks were a joy to explore. our stay was an absolute delight, and we can't wait to come back!

Loved the garden and terrace, perfect for sipping champagne while enjoying the delightful lake views. The free WiFi throughout the property was a treat, I could update my social media constantly.

Oh, how I missed the airport right next door! Not having planes flying over every five minutes was such a disappointment.

During my transit in Uckfield, I had the pleasure of staying at the American School Bus Retreat With Hot Tub In Sussex Meadow. As a frequent traveler, I appreciated the convenience of the hotel's location. Being only 27 km away from the nearest airport, it made my journey smooth and hassle-free. the uniqueness of staying in a converted school bus added a fun and memorable touch to my stay.

While my overall experience was delightful, I found one minor drawback during my stay. It would have been great if there was an open cafe at the fishing lake nearby, but I understand that this is beyond the control of the bus owner.

The villa at American School Bus Retreat was absolutely adorable, with a separate bedroom and a cozy living room. I loved that the villa had air conditioning, which was a lifesaver during the hot weather. The fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and oven was a great bonus, allowing me to cook meals just like I would at home. The private entrance to the villa made me feel like I had my own little haven in the Sussex Meadow.

Personally, I found the size of the bedroom in the villa a bit small for my liking. However, others might still enjoy the coziness it provides.
